Question by glurpy: What would you say to your mom?
Or would you say anything? Here’s the thing:

My mom is in her late 50′s, 5’2″ and about 165 lbs. She has a tiny frame and should only be between 110-120. She has for YEARS blamed her weight gain on having turned 35, and as my 35th birthday approaches, I keep hearing more and more about how I’m supposedly going to “not be so skinny” anymore and “you don’t think it’ll happen to you, but it will” and “age is a terrible thing, just you wait and see, it’ll be your turn soon”.  Read more...

Question by Lui: What is your first impression of me if I told you I was born and raised in Compton and South Central LA?
I’ve lived in New Hampshire and Boston for the past few yrs. Im in college & hispanic so of course many people start off with “where are you from?” liners. I tell them L.A but most of the time they get disappointed b/c I don’t mention an exotic country. So they press “o yea, what part”. To avoid scaring them off or praisin me from such an infamous land i just say something like “riverside” or “near the beach”. its happened on interviews too…I’m labeled, my personality is apparently known, people think they know me before they even know me! WHY??
